Hi Club Members,
Firstly welcome back to a new basketball season, we hope that everyone is excited to get back on the court.
With this return to basketball their is some important information regarding our return to competition to the Keilor Basketball Association.
Please read this important (attachment) that came out yesterday from the K.B.A regarding the requirements for players, parents, coaches and team managers attending games this weekend.
As a reminder, after many weeks and months away from the sport we love, please be respectful and kind to our referees, staff and other parents. Any bad behaviour will not be tolerated and will be reported immediately.
It’s recommended to arrive no earlier then 10 minutes before your game, as you will not be able to enter the venue until the previous game has left. It might be a good idea that the team meets together to assist venue staff with quicker entry.
Please note: as this is round one – some teams will be required to enter the players numbers and possibly some details into the computer system. If the game clock starts to keep to the venue schedule – do not worry about loosing a few minutes and keep your cool.
- All players will be permitted to have one fully vaccinated person accompany them into venues
- It will be a condition of entry for the above person to show their vaccination status upon request. No vaccination, no entry.
- Players and volunteers are not required to show their vaccination status to participate in games.
- All attendees to KBA facilities will be required to QR code upon entry.
- All players over the age of 12 and Coaches will be required to wear masks indoors to and from the Basketball Court, however they are not required to wear them during the game.
- All other attendees are to wear masks indoors unless a medical exemption applies and will be required to socially distance where possible.
- To comply with government directives, once a game has concluded, ALL players, coaches and volunteers will be required to exit the venue immediately.
These restrictions are expected to remain in place until we move to Phase D of the roadmap, indicative date 24 November 2021.
